I am a lifelong storyteller and a great listener. 

I started writing stories at a very young age, at first just to entertain myself and my family. That grew into a career at the world's oldest news organization The Associated Press. 

My proudest accomplishments so far are raising my daughter, writing about stories that make a difference and getting to interview Willie Nelson on his tour bus.

I love sports, especially Predators hockey, and delving deep into musical history and the stories behind my favorite songs and artists. 

My home garden is my oasis and I love making homemade recipes from veggies and fruit I've grown in my own backyard. I grew up on a farm in Middle Tennessee and that connection to the land will forever be a part of who I am. 

MY GOALS

I want to expand my career, especially in the areas of producing, marketing, editing and communications and I want to work with organizations that share my passions. I want to learn new ways to tell stories across multiple platforms, whether it's through video, writing, photography or social media.

MY SKILLS

  • Proficient with high-definition Panasonic P2 video cameras, Canon 5d Mark II DSLR cameras. Skilled at producing multi-camera shoots, prepping interview questions, researching background on subjects, artists. Have experience with 360 video cameras, as well as action cameras like GoPros.

  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Experience with video compression formats and delivery via FTP, Dropbox and WeTransfer directly to clients.

  • Skilled in writing and copy editing for a variety of formats: Short headlines, extended headlines, social media posts, Associated Press NewsNow format, YouTube video headlines and summaries, photo captions, video scripts and shotlists, sidebars and lists, Q & As, and chunky text formats.

  • Experienced in working with freelancers to produce content, including negotiating rates and deadlines. Works well in teams both on-site and with remote co-workers. Able to juggle multiple projects at the same time.
